About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to training courses and services provided by Summerlands Method. By booking a course or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully before completing your booking.
Training Bookings
Places on Summerlands Method training are limited and are only secured once the required payment has been received and your booking has been confirmed by Summerlands Method.
Your booking is for the specific course and training date stated in your confirmation.
Course Fees & Payment
The full course fee must be paid before training takes place. Where an instalment or third-party payment option is available, all required payments must be completed in accordance with the payment provider’s terms.
Your place is not confirmed until you have received confirmation from Summerlands Method.
Cancellations & Changes
If you need to cancel or change your training booking, please contact Summerlands Method as soon as possible.
Cancellations, transfers, refunds and changes to training dates are subject to the Summerlands Method Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Training Attendance
Please arrive at the agreed time and be ready to participate in the practical elements of your training. Students are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the training venue and any accommodation they may require.
If you are unable to attend because of illness or unforeseen circumstances, please contact Summerlands Method as soon as possible.
Practical Training & Case Studies
Summerlands Method training includes practical learning and may require students to complete additional practice or case-study work following the training day.
Where a case study is required, certification will be issued once the required work has been completed and assessed to the appropriate standard.
Certificates
Certificates are awarded following successful completion of the relevant Summerlands Method training requirements. Where a case study or assessment is required, the certificate will be issued only after that work has been successfully completed.
Completion of a Summerlands Method course does not itself guarantee employment, income, insurance cover or eligibility to provide services professionally. Students are responsible for checking any insurance, licensing or other professional requirements that apply to them.
Training Materials & Intellectual Property
All Summerlands Method course materials, manuals, reference cards, diagrams, videos and other training resources are provided for your own personal learning and professional reference.
They must not be copied, reproduced, shared, sold, published or used to teach or create another training course without prior written permission from Summerlands Method.
Student Responsibility
Students are responsible for following the techniques, safety guidance and aftercare information provided during training and for working within their own level of competence after completing the course.
Students are also responsible for ensuring that they hold any appropriate insurance required before offering hair extension services to clients.
Liability
Summerlands Method will provide training with reasonable care and skill. However, students remain responsible for how they apply the knowledge and techniques learned after completing their training.
To the extent permitted by law, Summerlands Method is not responsible for losses arising from a student’s independent professional work or failure to follow the training, safety or aftercare guidance provided.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.
Changes to Training
In exceptional circumstances, Summerlands Method may need to change a training date, venue, course content or educator due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If Summerlands Method has to cancel a training course, you will be offered an alternative date or an appropriate refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Website & Course Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information, course descriptions, prices and other details shown on the Summerlands Method website are accurate and up to date.
From time to time, we may update course content, kits, pricing or other details. Any important changes affecting an existing confirmed booking will be communicated to the student.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights you may have as a consumer regarding where proceedings can be brought.
